At Wai-iti your wedding will be special and unique, something you will remember and treasure forever. Relax and enjoy a weekend with friends and family at our very special beach retreat.
You can arrange accommodation for guests at Wai-iti in the camp site and the container cabins. Some private cabins are available to rent (subject to availability).
To host a wedding at Wai-iti requires you to book the venue for ‘exclusive use’. This means we do not take any other accommodation bookings and allows for your wedding to be special and private. We host weddings from late January through to early December.

He has many options and provides marquee deals, as part of the marquee deal there will be special pricing of our accommodation. If you choose the marquee option you are able to provide your own caterer at the marquee and your own alcohol.
The cafe is also able to provide catering.

This will accommodate approximately 50 people (approx.). You will be required to organize your guests into accommodation.
Sleeping on mattresses/couches etc is not allowed.
For any exclusive use weddings 50 persons and under, without the marquee deal the cost is $7000 which includes venue hire and 2 nights accommodation which is our exclusive use policy (no doubt you can pass onto your guests). A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required to confirm booking with the balance being paid before or on arrival. Keys will be issued on payment and need to be returned to the office on departure. There is also a $1000 refundable breakage/damage bond required.
Arrival is after lunch on Friday and departure before lunch on Sunday
The tennis court and golf course are available for your use at no extra cost. Guests provide own sports gear.
The theatre is included in the exclusive use price but needs to be locked or supervised at all times.
The point at the café is a great venue for your wedding ceremony followed by your wedding function at the licensed café or you can have your ceremony on the point with drinks and nibbles, followed by reception in the marquee. All catering is done by the café caterers and menus etc. can be arranged for you.
The cost of catering and alcohol is to be negotiated with the café leaseholder. Our café is licensed. The café caterer would be able to give you extra costs per head for supper/nibbles or brunch the next morning or you can self-cater using the camp kitchen. The café is generally open to the public all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday (unless exclusive use has been selected).
There are privately owned cabins at Wai-iti retreat and the owners come and go whenever. Some of these are able to be rented privately for you to use for Weddings. Contact details can be given once confirmation of the weddings has been made. All these cabins are self-contained. They have named carparks which we ask your guests not to park in.
